Hardware/System/Software Engineers
Summary:
We are looking for talented engineers to joint the team. Engineers have vital roles in driving technology advancement and product success with the internal teams and external teams at every stage of technology research, hardware and software design and development. The engineers will need to choose one of the primary technical focuses -- hardware engineering focus, system engineering focus, or software engineering focus, while learning from other technical areas in this exciting wireless system development field. The candidates are expected have a high level of professional qualifications in one of three major technical fields.
Key Responsibilities:
Participate in technology Research and Development (R&D). technology specification design and development, product software and hardware design and development
Participate in every stage of the technology R&D, including algorithm design, specification development, hardware and software design and development, prototyping, data analysis and other product development tasks
Experience industrial customer-centric methodology in technology and product development; Understand the customers’ requirements, identify the features of the technology and product to meet the customers’ essential needs, design the product according to customers’ expectations
Design specifications, algorithms and structures, evaluate and improve the designs to ensure the the technology meets all requirements; Ensure the quality of the technology and product by teamwork; Follow development procedure and execute the workflow
High level of organizational skills to interact with both internal team members and external collaborators at every stage of algorithm design, hardware design, software design, testing, manufacturing, and customer support, to ensure delivery of the product
Work closely with collaborators to optimize the product in alignment with industrial standards; Work closely with the customer support and marketing team to identify the key issues and make the necessary improvements according to customer feedback
Qualifications:
BS/MS/PhD in Electrical and Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Physics or related Engineering and Science fields

Work experience in one or multiple technical focused fields -- hardware engineering, system engineering, or software engineering. The engineer/intern will choose one focused engineering area, and work with team members in other engineering areas:
Hardware engineering focus:
Experience of either digital hardware or analog/RF hardware development; digital hardware experience includes FPGA/ASIC implementation of signal processing algorithms, RTL design verification and UVM testbench development, pipelining and latency optimization, and ASIC physical design
Analog/RF hardware experience includes the development of MIMO antenna arrays, RF upconverter and downconverter designs, power amplifier designs, low-noise amplifier and analog beamformer development
Experience of digital front-end and mixed signal design, including digital sampling rate adjustment, digital up-conversion and down-conversion, digital pre-distortion, digital beamforming and hybrid digital analog beamforming
Experience of wireless PHY hardware development integrating the digital front with PHY digital implementation, the RF subsystem, and the antenna arrays. Experience of FPGA and multi-core CPU integration and optimization.
System engineering focus:
Proficient in simulation evaluation of algorithms given 5G system specifications; proficient in simulation platform development to evaluate the critical algorithms together with the hardware engineering team; proficient in machine learning techniques to evaluate algorithms with the software engineering team
Experience in 3GPP specifications with an in-depth understanding of critical physical channels and signaling; experience in developing algorithms across digital PHY receivers and digital and analog front end; experience in 3GPP L2/L3 specifications to evaluate the scheduling algorithms and algorithms in upper layer protocol stacks
Experience in optimizing the algorithms based on the hardware constraints in practical engineering systems; knowledge of hardware timing cycles, algorithm hardware and timing complexities, and methods to reduce the algorithm complexity in hardware
Understanding of wireless receiver design principles and general methods; strong mathematical and theoretical capabilities in algorithm design and evaluation, including probability, signal detection and estimation, matrix theory and optimization
Software engineering focus:
Strong knowledge of software protocol stack development in wireless networks; understanding of wireless network architecture, scheduling algorithms, spectrum management techniques, routing algorithms, security and encryption methods
Knowledge and experience of cloud development, GIS development and mobile app development, with hands-on experience of mainstream software development environment in cloud database, GIS platform, web app, and mobile app development
Knowledge and experience of machine learning and deep learning algorithm design and model training in object recognition, image feature extraction, scene reconstruction, robotics navigation, path planning and related technologies
Knowledge and experience of mathematical methods in statistics, algorithms, linear algebra, graphs, and implementation of mathematical models to address practical engineering challenges
Co-Founder
Overview
We are seeking highly motivated Co-Founders to build a next-generation wireless communications technology company focused on 5G Advanced and 6G systems. Candidates will align with one of two leadership director tracks based on their technical background and experience, i.e. the Engineering and Technology Director or the Marketing and Client Relationship Director. Co-Founders are expected to work on one track primarily and also adapt to work on both tracks in parallel. All Co-Founders will participate in company strategic planning, fundraising, technology and product development, and client relationship development.
The co-founding team works closely with multidisciplinary engineering and research teams to identify high-impact technology opportunities, establish the company's engineering roadmap, guide product and technology development, expand the company's intellectual property portfolio, and accelerate the adoption of our technologies in the telecommunication industry.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the company's technology, product and marketing development, develop long-term strategies in alignment with customer requirements and industry trends;
Establish long-term collaborations with telecommunications operators, equipment manufacturers, semiconductor companies, satellite communication companies, universities, government agencies, and research institutions.
The key responsibilities of co-founders in the two tracks are:
Engineering and Technology Director:
Supervise engineering and research teams on system and software architecture, hardware development, semiconductor IP development, system and algorithm development, software development, and 5G system integration;
Develop and strengthen the company's intellectual property portfolio through patent development, technology performance validation, and collaboration with universities, research organizations and government agencies;
Lead the team to participate in 3GPP, O-RAN, and other standardization activities, evaluate emerging technologies, review technical contributions, and support the development of standard-aligned products and technologies;
Marketing and Client Relationship Director:
Develop and execute the company's marketing strategy to expand the adoption of the company's technologies, products, and engineering services in the telecommunication industry;
Develop strong relationships with telecommunications operators, equipment manufacturers, semiconductor companies, satellite communication companies;
Understand customer technical requirements and work closely with the technical co-founding director and the technical teams to translate customer needs into technology and product development.
Qualifications
M.S. or Ph.D. with multiple years of industrial experience, majoring in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a closely related discipline;
Strong understanding of technology development, engineering implementation, intellectual property development, standardization activities, and long-term strategic planning;
Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with engineering teams, research teams, industrial partners, research organizations, universities, and government agencies.
The qualifications of co-founders on the two tracks are:
Engineering and Technology Director:
Strong knowledge across hardware, systems, and software domains on 5G Advanced, 6G, Non-Terrestrial Networks, beamforming, massive MIMO, wireless protocol stacks, cloud-native networking, O-RAN, AI-enabled wireless systems, or related technologies;
Experience leading engineering teams responsible for wireless communication systems and hardware development, semiconductor IP development. software development, cloud infrastructure and cloud development;
Experience integrating research innovations into practical engineering implementations while coordinating multidisciplinary development teams; Experience participating in 3GPP standardization or O-RAN standardization.
Marketing and Client Relationship Director:
Strong technical experience to understand key concepts in wireless communication technologies for effectively speaking to customers, investors, government agencies, and industrial partners;
Experience in technology marketing in industries of telecommunications, semiconductor, satellite communications, computer networks, or related technology industries;
Experience identifying market opportunities, understanding customer technical requirements, and coordinating with engineering teams to develop customer-focused technology solutions.
Research Scientist
Overview
We are seeking highly motivated Research Scientists to investigate key challenges in 5G networks and pioneer innovative solutions for 6G systems. Candidates will align with one of two technical tracks based on their research interests and technical expertise: Physical Layer Algorithms and Wireless Hardware, or Software Protocol Stack, Core Network and Intelligent Networking. Researchers will also collaborate with industrial companies and standards organizations to influence future wireless communication technologies.
The successful candidate will investigate key technical challenges in wireless communications, develop innovative solutions, and transfer research outcomes into practical engineering implementations. Research Scientists will work closely with multidisciplinary engineering teams to identify high-impact research opportunities, develop novel algorithms and system architectures, publish research findings, file patents, contribute to standards, and transfer research innovations into commercial products.
Key Responsibilities
Investigate 5G/6G networks challenges to deliver high-impact engineering solutions, work with engineering teams to target high-priority problems and transition research into engineering outputs that can be deployed in practical systems;
Document novel discoveries to file patents to protect the company’s technological competitive advantage; work with university research labs to publish the research;
Participate in the standardization in 3GPP, O-RAN and related global standard organizations; review the industrial contribution papers, author and submit technical contributions to these standard organizations.
The research scientist can choose one of the following focused research areas:
Physical Layer Algorithm and Hardware Focus:
Analyze technical contributions from 3GPP RAN1 and RAN4, with a specific focus on emerging 6G technology development frameworks;
Develop physical layer algorithms to tackle challenges in 6G topics including signal waveforms, channel coding, multi-antenna systems, synchronization and initial access, NTN networks, ISAC and other related topics;
Validate and optimize proposed physical layer algorithms by standard aligned simulations, including link-level simulation and system-level simulations.
Software, Protocol Stack, and Core Network Focus:
Analyze technical contributions from 3GPP RAN2, RAN3, and SA, with the focus of 6G software architecture;
Investigate the next-generation network technologies, including AI-RAN, cloud-native core network evolution, network slicing; Develop algorithms related to AI/ML based beam management, network automation, intelligent routing and resource allocation;
Design and refine protocol layer software modules including MAC, RLC, PDCP and SDAP, to support new applications in 5G advanced networks.
Qualifications
Ph.D. (preferred) or M.S. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a closely related discipline;
Strong research records in wireless communications; demonstrated ability to publish high-quality research papers in leading journals or international conferences;
Experience participating in collaborative research projects involving academia or industry; strong analytical, and problem-solving skills and excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Physical Layer Algorithm and Hardware Focus:
Experience in waveform design, Analog Front-End (AFE) design, RF chain design and related beamforming hardware and massive MIMO antenna architecture;
Experience of LDPC, Polar code, joint coding and modulation, and related hardware architecture;
Experience in Non-Terrestrial Networks (NTN) design and simulations, including link-level and system-level simulations;
Knowledge of initial access procedures, synchronization, wake-up radio technology.
Software, Protocol Stack, and Core Network Focus:
Experience in O-RAN software development, including Near-RT/Non-RT RIC and xApps/rApps development;
Knowledge of Agentic AI for autonomous network management, AI-enabled cloud-native telecommunications infrastructure;
Knowledge in Core network concepts including 5GC architectures, AMF/UPF/SMF functions, and open-source Open5GS;
Knowledge of positioning and localization technologies in cellular networks and reinforcement learning in network control.
